We have thousands of photos on smartphones: of first Christmases, and last days at school, and oh how we love those, but how many have we printed? Truly, what do we do with them, besides flick through nostalgically late at night, knowing we should put the phone away and go to sleep.

Isn’t there also a place for something that won’t slip away so easily, something more intentional, a modern, but tangible, artifact that honours how important these memories really are?

All my photographs are scanned into high res digital negatives from stunning medium format and 35mm film and provided to you via an easy digital download.

SO, WHY DO I STILL SHOOT FILM? It’s simply more beautiful, and it doesn’t suffer from digital photography editing fads. The power of photography is that it’s for keeping, but sadly, many digital fashions don’t age well at all. Once you hold your prints in your hands, you’ll be able to tell the difference. Film has soul.

I’m available across Melbourne and right around the Mornington Peninsula. I also travel, jump in touch to see when I might next be in your city.

-One more thing, I believe that beautiful photography should be available to everyone, so payment plans are easily created, and barter offers welcome, especially for artworks.

A ‘day-in-the-life’ style session. This might look like babies and beautiful chaos, or Sunday footy at the park, or a day roaming the Peninsula; either way it’s more relaxing and fun than you might think. If you’re a filmie you can choose to incorporate any of my film cameras (35mm and medium format, newer or vintage), including jumping in the ocean with the the waterproof NikonosV. Otherwise sit back, grab a coffee (or a wine) and let me create a proper family heirloom.
