“I love you love watermelon”

Last January, in between lockdowns, I managed to get down to Tasmania for a couple of sessions and a family mini-break. This series of photos is an excerpt from an in-home family session for extraordinary Tasmanian wedding photographer Nina Hamilton. I think that what this small selection of photos illustrates is that if you are relaxed and having fun, the camera will see that you are relaxed and having fun. There is no requirement to spend time agonising over clothing choices, or location. You can be at home, with no shirt on, sitting on top of your kitchen bench, eating a watermelon, and if you are truly present in that place, you are perfect.
